​ Members that need to completed their Sediment and Erosion Control Plan Training and Self-Certification Test can now do so online. This online course covers the Waste Discharge Requirements General Order for commercial irrigated growers within the Sacramento River Watershed. Experts lead you through videos, quizzes, survey's, and text to prepare you for the final exam that is also administered online. It is free to STWEC members. The coursework and test should take 4 hours. You can work on completing the requirement in segments that work with your schedule. Available February 2023:  SECP Online Training & Certification.

Watershed Education Coalition

The Shasta-Tehama Watershed Coalition (or "STWEC") is a voluntary coalition of irrigators in the North State located in Shasta and Tehama Counties who have joined together to comply with the Clean Water Act.

The Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program was initiated by the State of California in 2003 to prevent agricultural runoff from impairing surface waters. If irrigators become members of an approved coalition, all permitting can be combined and submitted as a group. That is why STWEC was formed, as an inexpensive alternative to individual discharge permits from the California State Water Resources Control Board.

This is your online data management tool, where you will be logging your irrigated parcels, nitrogen management, and farm evaluations to stay current as a STWEC member. You can track invoices here as well.  Active STWEC members can access and input their Farm Evaluation information with the DMT. This new system is developed to ease reporting requirements of the WDRs and serves as a cost savings to compliance. The pre-populated (auto-filled) Farm Evaluation will not longer be post mailed. We will make every effort to help you through the new reporting process and make it as easy as possible. Use the DMT How-To Guide to get started.
